Director Mohammed Ehteshamuddin is a credible name in the television industry and has plays like SadqayTumhare, Udaari and the most recent, period drama Aangan, to his credit. He recently made his big screen directorial debut with Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf starrer Superstar that released on Eid ul Azha and is generating decent figures at the local and international box office. In an interview with Instep during the film’s promotions in Karachi last month, the director shared that his upcoming TV project, titled Firon, is presently in the works.
“My next TV play is called Firon that is penned by Mustafa Afridi and will tackle the subject of domestic violence,” Ehteshamuddin told Instep.
Though he refused to reveal details, he did admit that they have already shot a few episodes.
The director also asserted that while he will continue directing plays for television, he is also writing a few film scripts that he plans to direct soon.
Coming back to his most recent effort, Superstar, the director is receiving appreciation for bringing out the best in Mahira and Bilal, who surpassed viewers’ expectations with their respective performances.
