Winning hearts with her performance in her comeback film Baaji that released on June 28, Meera is delighted to have worked with director Saqib Malik; he has made his debut as a feature film director with the film. She feels that there couldn’t be a better opportunity and a better filmmaker to mark her return to the big screen.
“My experience of working with Saqib and everyone else went really well; he is very professional, very loving, very caring,” she told Instep. “He didn’t compromise on anything; the production is really huge, the budget of this film is massive and he has worked really hard for it. Everybody was so focused and dedicated and gave their 100 per cent to the film.”
Meera furthered that every industry has its dynamics and while Hollywood and Bollywood are way ahead of us, she didn’t feel any difference while shooting for Baaji.
“Trust me, when I worked in Baaji with Saqib, I didn’t find any difference. I felt that I am working in a foreign film with a great team.”
Meera also admitted that she may not have given her best in all of her past works but she has done justice to her role in Baaji because she wants Pakistan’s film industry to grow and prosper.
