Veteran actor-director-producer Sakina Samo recently announced that she has been busy with making her first feature film for the last six months. A poster of her upcoming indie film came out last week and we must admit that it looks promising.
Titled Waiting (Intezar), the film features Samina Ahmed, Khalid Ahmed, Kaif Ghaznavi, Raza Ali and Adnan Jaffer.
Samo took to her official social media handles to announce the news along with the film’s poster. “I always wanted to make films and when the time was right, the call came loud and clear,” she wrote. “Making a first feature film with absolute certainty, without thinking of result or reward – that is a labour of love supported by a bit of madness. I could write a book on how wonderful a ride the last six months have been.”
“We all are waiting for something or the other – are we not?” she added, referring to the film’s title (Waiting).
With music by Darvesh and script by Bee Gul, the film is co-produced by Azeem Mughul alongside Sakina Samo who is making her big screen directorial debut with Waiting.
