Industry veteran Mehmood Aslam has been doing comedy for the last forty years and has been associated with the longest running sit-com Bulbulay that will soon have its new season on-air. The actor will be seen in both the films – Wajahat Rauf’s Chhalawa and Yasir Nawaz’s Wrong No. 2 – releasing this Eid ul Fitr (today).
“I am starring in Chhalawa as Chaudhry sahab, who is a Punjabi, while in Wrong No. 2 I am essaying the role of a Pathan,” he told Instep on the sidelines of a recent event. “I have been doing comedy for the last forty years aside from some serious (Khaani) as well as negative roles (Silsilay). I had stopped working in films; I made my comeback after 24 years with last year’s Teefa In Trouble in which I essayed the role of Butt sahab.”
“You will find me essaying different characters in all of my upcoming films,” he informed, adding that he will be seen in two more films, aside from Chhalawa and Wrong No 2., that will release in the coming months.
Aside from films, Mehmood Aslam can be currently caught in multiple TV plays; some of his TV projects include the recently concluded Do Bol and the ongoing Yaarian.
