Over the years, singer-actor Junaid Khan has become a household name, with some memorable performances to his credit. The actor, who is currently appearing in three television plays, namely Kamzarf, Yaariyan and Hania, is all set to appear in another drama serial, titled Makafaat alongside Hira Mani.
“Makafaat is a family drama, which follows the story of a close knit family,” Junaid Khan told Instep, adding that he is very excited about the upcoming project.
Talking about his character in the play, Junaid shared, “I can’t give out too many details but all I can say is that the role has various dimensions.
I essay the character of an emotionally driven guy who belongs to a rich background. He is the sort who goes out of the way to prove his love for his family members.
He is really caring towards his mother and is also a doting brother. In the upcoming project, you will see a sweet sort of a guy who at times becomes emotionally weak and hence is easily manipulated.”
As far as sharing screen with Hira Mani is concerned, the singer and actor went on to say that this is his third play with Hira Mani, who is not only a great performer but is also really fun to work with.
Directed by Ahmed Kamran, the play is being produced under the banner of Mastermind Productions, and also features Atiqa Odho, Ali Ansari and Marium Nafees apart from the protagonists. Makafaat is scheduled to go on-air on Geo Entertainment in the coming months.
