Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed-starrer Ramazan special play, Suno Chanda that went on air during the month of Ramazan last year generated a lot of hype and won many hearts. With Suno Chanda 2, presently on air, things aren’t the same as the play is getting criticism after the first few episodes, for one reason or another. Some people feel there is the issue of overacting, while others find it overrated. And some feel not enough screen time has been given to the favourite couple, Arsal and Ajia – essayed by Farhan and Iqra.
Director of the play, Aehsun Talish, recently took to social media to address the issue. He noted that every character is integral to the narrative and adds their bit to the story that is about Arsal and Ajia after all.
“There is a complete new campaign against Suno Chanda… it is to malign Suno Chanda in every manner,” he asserted. “Every character in this play is there for a reason according to the story suggested by the writer and the content unit behind the script who have no intentions whatsoever to reduce or sabotage their own play by not giving enough time to the protagonists Arsal and Ajia. It is how the story progresses most of the times where the supports are given due time to enhance a sequence in the timeline of the story ahead.”
“So, Arsal and Ajia lovers stay put and keep your calm. Suno Chanda is about Arsal and Ajia,” he concluded.
