Ramazan Special TV serial Suno Chanda generated a lot of hype last year and on huge public demand, a second season of the project has been launched this Ramazan.
Three episodes into the play, it has managed to maintain the hype and lived up to fans’ expectations.
The couple of Arsal and Jia, essayed by Farhan Saeed and Iqra Aziz, is at the heart of the play and is loved by fans all across.
In a recent interview with Something Haute, the two actors shared in what ways they relate to their characters in the production.
“Arsal’s character has borrowed wit and humour from my real life and also my chemistry with my mother, but then there are several aspects of his personality which are totally opposite to me,” Farhan shared when asked how much of his personality resembles his character. “For instance, he is of the opinion that women should stay at home and make rotis and I am nothing like that.”
Iqra, too, admits that Jia is a lot like her in real life.
“Jiya is a lot like me. I can relate to her emotions, whether it’s her being angry, excited or happy,” the Ranjha Ranjha Kardi actor shared. “She knows there’s some purpose to life and she’s not going to compromise on her goals. I like this progressive mindset that she has.”
Written by Saima Akram and directed by Aehsun Talish, Suno Chanda 2 is currently on-air and will run till the end of Ramazan. We will have to wait and see how season 2 unfolds and if there is a third season in the pipeline.
