Tired of watching similar narratives on the small screen, they have the option of switching to a streaming service instead in this age of content and information.
While social issues is one trend that has taken television by storm, light hearted comedies and/or romance has become a new favorite.
With Suno Chanda 2, Shahrukh Ki Saaliyan and Dolly Darling scheduled to go on-air during Ramazan, there are some that will hit TV screens on Eid ul Fitr 2019.
Aside from Eid special plays and telefilms, there is one project that is sure to tickle your funny bones with its humor and drama.
Titled Barfi Laddu, the upcoming production features Ali Safina of Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat fame who can be presently seen in Romeo Weds Heer.
“Barfi Laddu is a light hearted, sweet story of two people and their families,” Ali Safina, who will be seen opposite Sumbul Iqbal in the play, told Instep. “It has a mega cast and soon all the characters will be revealed.”
Though the unconventional actor refrained from revealing much at the moment, he informed that the script is penned by Dr. Muhammad Younis Butt while it is being directed by Ramish Rizvi.
The actor also shared in a social media post that the play is based on a wedding and it is going to be the biggest wedding of the year.
