T-Series brings Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh songs back on YouTube

Even though India banned Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood after the Uri Attacks, Pakistani musicians Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam continued to defy the ban by lending their voice to various high profile projects. However, the recent Pulwama Attack made things even worse, resulting in a complete ban on Pakistani artists.

After the staunch verdict from the other side of the border, Indian record label, T-Series removed latest songs by Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from their YouTube channel. Both singers were under a contract with the record label, which apparently came to an end post-Pulwama Attack. However, recent reports suggest that the songs by both the artists have been restored on the T-Series YouTube channel.

Just a few days prior to the attack, Atif Aslam had announced on Twitter that his latest song ‘Baarishein’ would release under the T-Series record but it was removed shortly after it came out. Similarly, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s new song ‘Zindagi’ – also released under the Indian banner – faced the same fate.
