We reported earlier that Bilal Abbas Khan is all set to appear in a web series that is being directed by Mehreen Jabbar and is written by Umera Ahmed. We got in touch with the actor to find out about his role in the upcoming project, given that he is essaying an anti-hero these days.
“My character in Cheekh is actually a once in a life time opportunity and roles like that hardly come along. Lucky that Badar (Mehmood) thought I was the right man for the job. Having said that, the character I’ll be playing in my next is that of a typical Karachi boy with his usual dreams and aspirations. Just the normalcy of it is fun to explore as an actor and of course a new learning experience for me.”
Though Bilal didn’t reveal much about the plot of the web series, he informed that it’s a fun script penned by Umera Ahmed and that “working with Mehreen Jabbar is an absolute pleasure”.
The web series is currently being shot in Karachi and the shoot will come to an end next month.
Bilal will also be playing a key role in Haseeb Hassan’s upcoming Pakistan Day special telefilm Laal, which also features Gohar Rasheed and Kubra Khan in important roles.
