Like every year, NAPA is all set to host the International Performing Arts Festival that brings together and connects artists from various parts of the world. The festival is scheduled to take place from March 12 till March 31 in Karachi. “It is going to be a 3-week long festival of theatre, dance and music, featuring a diverse mix of Pakistani and international performers,” according to NAPA’s official Facebook page.
“Bringing together leading local and international performers in an annual celebration of theatre, music and dance, the NAPA International Performing Arts Festival is committed to enriching the cultural life of the city,” the page states. “This year’s festival features exciting and diverse performances from Sri Lanka, India, Iran, France, Italy, Germany, and domestic plays in Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, and Balochi.”
Some of the performances include Wahala (Slavery) by Natanda Dance Theatre of Sri Lanka that is Sri Lanka’s first ever contemporary dance company, Devi by Studio J Dance (Australia) that is written and directed by Joshinder Chaggar and Leela Chanesar by Aashkara Arts, to name a few.
Tickets for the event will be on sale starting from February 25. Stay tuned.
