The Pakistan Fashion Design Council’s (PFDC) 20th consecutive fashion week is just around the corner. Scheduled to take place from April 11 till April 14 in Lahore, the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2019 is set to showcase the best of Pakistani fashion design to both local and international audiences (including press and buyers).
Like every year, the upcoming four-day extravaganza will feature three distinct categories including Luxury Prêt, High-Street prêt-a-porter shows and Lawn. Bringing together fashion brands that foster creation and international development, PFDC seeks to promote Pakistan’s fashion culture, where craft and creation have a major impact.
A slew of young and promising designers will also be presenting their work under the ‘Rising Talent’ segment that is designed solely to cultivate the future generations of the fashion industry in the country.
To give each day of fashion week a unique curated experience, the council designs a more evolved show concept and structure, closer to global standards. By doing so, the council aims to grow fashion weeks into a more exclusive and premium platform, allowing fashion houses to cater to a more select and dedicated audience.
The lineup of designers showcasing at the event this time is yet to be revealed. Watch this space for updates.
