Aagahi is a series of 14 short animated films conceptualized, produced and directed by SOC Films that mostly covers topics revolving around social awareness aimed at educating the masses.
Spearheaded by the Oscar award winning documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, SOC Films recently launched the sixth short film as part of their ongoing public service campaign Aagahi. Titled Filing For Divorce (Khula Laynay Ka Tareeqa), the latest release sheds light on the process of filing a khula (divorce) through the courts.
With Aamina Sheikh lending her vocals, the video asserts that women have a right to divorce and also presents some conditions to consider before a woman decides to file for divorce. Filing For Divorce also mentions the process of registering for divorce as well as about custody of children after separation from the husband.
