Actor-filmmaker Adnan Sarwar made his film debut with biopic Shah in 2015; he then directed and acted in Motorcycle Girl that released last year with Sohai Ali Abro in the titular role. He was recently honoured with a trophy at the Beyond Beautiful Awards Gala Night for making a film that attempted to break stereotypes surrounding women.
Speaking to Instep on the sidelines of the event, Adnan revealed that he is working on three film scripts that he plans to release one by one by the end of 2020.
“I am working on a couple of films at the same time,” Adnan responded when asked what’s next on his plate. “I am basically scheduling a bunch of releases up until 2020. I have signed a couple of them with different genres; one is near completion. I want to work from today until the end of 2020 and release three films.”
Adnan added that presently they are in the scheduling phase; some scripts are finalized and they are looking for actors while others are yet to be written.
Coming back to Motorcycle Girl, it was an inspiring story based on the life of Zenith Irfan, Pakistan’s first female motorcyclist who travelled across Pakistan solo on a motorbike.
