After releasing a super-catchy version of ‘Nikka Mota Bajra’ from his first live Punjabi folk album, Tich Button, Jimmy Khan recently unveiled the second song from the EP called ‘Tich Buttona Di Jori’.

The second release is an original song, with lyrics by Daniyal Malik of Begairat Brigade and composed by Jimmy himself. Produced by Zain Ahsan, the song, according to the press statement, “universally refers to things that perfectly fit into each other, representing ‘Perfect Harmony’. This could point towards relationships, tools or objects that work best in consonance. The video itself depicts the same idea, intercut with a performance sequence.”

To delve deeper into the song, Jimmy Khan dropped by True Brew Records studio and discussed more about the song on the TBR’s initiative, True Brew TV.

In a nearly one minute video, Jimmy Khan spoke about the song and its original Punjabi lyrics. “I mean, I’ve been meaning to record my live set for a while. That was the idea, essentially. Lots of Punjabi stuff I’ve been performing live,” said Jimmy Khan.

He also discussed his favourite parts of the lyrics, noting, “I think the bridge is my favourite.”

It’s a brilliant, playful lesson into Punjabi lyrics and captures Jimmy Khan in terrific fashion. The video is available on True Brew TV’s Instagram page, where you can also find other artists. Check it out!
