Theatre and TV actor-director Yasra Rizvi announced earlier this year that she is making a film called Senti Aur Mental in which she and Yasir Hussain will be essaying titular roles. However, there have been some twists and turns in the cast lately while the film recently went on floors. Half of the film has been shot and it is scheduled for an early 2019 release, according to Yasra, who is now busy with the editing and first look of the film.
“Senti Aur Mental is a wedding story; it is about a family that comes together for a wedding,” Yasra Rizvi told Instep in an exclusive conversation. “It is set at a farm house in Karachi; every character moves the story forward.”
Going by the title, ‘Senti’ refers to Yasra in the film while Zain Afzal, who is playing opposite her, will be seen as ‘Mental’. Faryal Mehmood essays the role of Yasra’s sister, Beo Zafar will be seen as their mother while Irfan Khoosat plays the character of their father in the film. The film also features Jinaan Hussain, Syed Arez, and Faisal Imtiaz, among many others, whose names are yet to be revealed.
