The complete line-up for SuperSalt 2018 has finally been revealed. Karachi will witness, under the open sky, four diverse artists. After revealing the names of SomeWhatSuper, Mughal-e-Funk and Khumariyaan, Salt Arts, who are presenting this one-night only multiple act production, have revealed that Mekaal Hasan Band will be headlining the event.
Super-groups, multiple genres and nearly 25 artists from different towns and cultural backgrounds coming together is a statement about the rich community of music we have and must endorse.
Speaking to Instep about playing in Karachi, said Mekaal Hasan from Lahore, “The entire band is really excited about playing at SuperSalt 2018. We’re going to perform a mix of songs from all of our records as well as some new material, which we’ve been developing with Humera Channa. We last played in Karachi at the I Am Karachi Music Festival 2017 so we’re looking forward to a great show. The line-up for SuperSalt 2018 is superb and Karachi audiences are the best so this promises to be a not-to-be-missed event.”
