With almost a decade of work experience in TV behind her, Ayeza Khan has several hit TV productions to her credit such as Adhoori Aurat, Pyarey Afzal, Tum Kon Piya, Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai and Toh Dil Ka Kia Hua. Currently starring as Dr Rabail in Koi Chand Rakh alongside Imran Abbas, Areeba Habib and Muneeb Butt, the actress is gearing up for her next play opposite Humayun Saeed.
Titled Mere Pass Tum Ho, the play is written by Khalil-Ur-Rehman while it is being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nadeem Baig whose last project on TV was Dil Lagi prior to his blockbuster films Punjab Nahi Jaungi (2017) and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 (2018).
Instep got in touch with Ayeza, who will be working with Humayun Saeed for the first time, to know more about the upcoming play as well as her character.
“The play follows the story of a married couple and I am playing Humayun Saeed’s wife,” Ayeza told Instep. “It is a very different story and the treatment is more like a film.”
Though she didn’t reveal much about the project, she mentioned that she is both excited and nervous for this one because she is playing a very different character.
“You don’t realize some of the characters that exist around you,” she explained. “Playing someone who is completely opposite to your personality is very challenging. I, as Ayeza, won’t do the things that my character in the play does. I think I will have constant clash with myself while essaying this one.”
Currently busy with the rehearsals, the actress informed that they will begin shooting for the play later this month. Speaking of working with Humayun Saeed, Ayeza shared that so far, the experience has been good during rehearsals.
“He is very supportive; he guides me and helps me with my looks and performance alongside Nadeem Baig who is very involved in the process too,” she added.
