Bilal Lashari’s Maula Jatt is one of the most anticipated Pakistani films featuring the Humsafar couple Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan along with Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malick in lead roles. The good news is that the film has finally gotten a release date. In a recent interview, Maula Jatt’s producer Ammara Hikmat confirmed that the movie will hit cinemas on Eid-ul-Fitr 2019.
Since the film was announced, the movie was being dubbed as the reboot of the iconic Maula Jatt (1979) but recent reports suggest that it is rather a continuation of Nasir Adeeb’s original series that began with Wehshi Jatt in 1975 and exposed viewers to the character of Maula Jatt essayed by the legendary Sultan Rahi (late).
In the upcoming movie, which is deemed as Pakistan’s most expensive action film, Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi will be seen in iconic characters of Maula Jatt and Noori Natt, respectively.
The film’s release might clash with Salman Khan-starrer Bharat, which is also scheduled to hit the big screen on Eid-ul-Fitr next year. For now we just can’t wait to see our favourite stars on the big screen.
With the release date already announced we wonder when the movie’s teasers and trailers will be coming out.
