In recent times, a number of Pakistani feature and short films have not only been screened at various international film festivals but have also bagged various awards in different categories. And the good news is that young filmmaker Ali Sohail Jaura’s travel film, Arz-e-Pakistan, has been nominated for the Comite International des Festivals du Film Touristique (CIFFT) People’s Choice Award.

The director took to social media to announce the good news. “Hey guys! Our tourism film, Arz-e-Pakistan, has been nominated for the CIFFT People’s Choice Award 2018 and we need your full support to win this one for Pakistan,” wrote Ali Sohail on his official Facebook handle and urged everyone to vote for the four minute long film.

Arz-e-Pakistan captures the true essence of Pakistan and highlights the natural beauty of our country. With the aim to promote both local and international tourism in the Northern regions of Pakistan, eight team members traveled more than 6000 kilometers to capture the scenic beauty and raw nature of the northern tourist and hiking attractions of Pakistan, which include the major regions of Kashmir, Hunza, Gilgit, Skardu, Swat, Naran, Kaghan, and Fairy Meadows.

In the past Arz-e-Pakistan has won two awards: Best Travel Commercial, Travel Film Festival, held in Moscow, Russia and Platinum Travel Film of the Year, India Film Project, held in Mumbai, India.
