The unforgettable Nazia Hassan parted ways with her ex-husband Ishtiaq Baig 10 days prior to her death and her controversial marital life came to an end. However, it seems, things aren’t as over as we thought, as her ex-husband is planning to make a film on her after almost two decades of her demise.
Nazia Hassan’s brother, Zoheb Hassan, recently took to social media and stated that her ex-husband has no legal rights to make a film on her and he would sue him and anyone who supports him in this.
“The Hassan family has come to know that Nazia’s ex-husband is trying to make a film on her life so he can feature himself and further profit from her name and fame,” Zoheb Hassan posted on his official Facebook handle.
“Anyone entertaining this individual shall be duly and legally sued by our family as he has no legal right or basis to do so.”
He also went on to say that they (Nazia Hassan’s family) hold full publishing rights of all their music worldwide. “Any attempted infringement of our catalogue shall be subject to legal cost and consequence,” he added.
Pop singer-songwriter Nazia Hassan was born in April 1965 and departed from this world in August 2000. The ‘Disco Deewane’ singer was also a lawyer and a social activist and was extremely popular in Pakistan, India and beyond.
