There are some onscreen couples that are quite popular among viewers who wish to see them together again and again, such as Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat and the most recent addition, Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly.
However, it is always a delight to see fresh pairs of actors sharing the screen space, whether it is on television or in films. And the upcoming drama Balaa does just that as the sensational Bilal Abbas Khan and the versatile Ushna Shah come together as the lead pair.
Balaa is scheduled to go on air tonight while the teasers were released last month and they look intense. Apparently the drama is a unique and tragic tale of love with several twists and turns.
It follows the story of Nigar (Ushna) and Taimoor (Bilal) and the title refers to both of them while who the actual ‘balaa’ is we will get to know once the drama goes on air. Nigar is beautiful but isn’t confident about herself due to a birth defect (she limps) whereas Taimoor is a humble and family-oriented person.
Bilal has several TV plays like O’Rangreza, Rasm e Duniya and Qurbaan to his name while Ushna has a huge list of TV plays to her credit, some of which are currently on air (Ru Baru Ishq Tha, Lashkara).
Coming back to their upcoming play, Balaa, it has been penned by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and features Sajid Hasan, Samina Peerzada, Asad Siddiqui and Meherbano aside from Bilal and Ushna.
