Having portrayed a fighter pilot in the recently released Parwaaz Hai Junoon, Shaz Khan may not have done many projects in Pakistan but he has always been appreciated for his work whether it is on TV or film. Most notable for his role in Jami Mehmood’s critically acclaimed Moor, the actor was seen in Mehreen Jabbar’s Dobara Phir Se in 2016, followed by a prominent role in last year’s most popular drama serial Yakeen Ka Safar.
While his Eid ul Azha release Parwaaz Hai Junoon is running successfully in cinemas across Pakistan and beyond, Shaz is gearing up for a TV serial that goes on air tonight. Titled Lamhe, the play features him as an expat Hashir who returns from England after many years, while Zara Noor Abbas will be seen opposite him as Aleena.
“Lamhe is more of a love triangle and a crazy journey of Hashir,” Shaz Khan told Instep on the sidelines of a movie premiere. “Hashir doesn’t have parents or siblings and he returns from England to see his ailing grandmother in Karachi. Upon his return, he learns that he was married off at a young age after his father was murdered.”
The situation forces him to pretend what isn’t true as he has a modern English wife as well and this is what the story follows. We’re intrigued.
