Like nearly every Eid-ul-Fitr, more than a week away, there is a huge lineup of telefilms that are scheduled to air during the festive season.
As for 2018, while some of them have been shot already, others were recently announced with Naiki Kar Doob Marr being the newest addition to the list. The upcoming telefilm features Zahid Ahmed and Saba Qamar in key roles and is a “pure comedy” according to Zahid.
“It’s a pure comedy that will be fun to watch,” the actor, who began shooting for the project two days back in Karachi, told Instep in a telephonic conversation.
This will be the third time Zahid and Saba will be sharing the screen space as the two have appeared in drama serials Sangat and Besharam in the past.
Though Saba was one of the reasons why Zahid accepted the offer, the actor informed that he gave a nod to the project because it was a comic script, something that he has never really done before.
Speaking of the story and genre of the upcoming telefilm, Zahid added, “It’s a love story of a young couple. It is targeted at young people who aren’t willing to compromise in relationships. Getting into a relationship is easier but maintaining it is difficult.”
Directed by Fahim Burney and written by Atiq Inayat, the telefilm is likely to air on the first day of Eid.
