With social issues taking the lead in drama serials that are currently on air on local television, here is another project joining the league. New drama serial Baydardi that features Aiman Khan and Affan Waheed in lead roles went on air earlier this week. Directed by Ahmed Bhatti, the drama takes up the tough issue of HIV as one of the major themes aside from love and relationships. One episode down, the drama looks interesting while the issue will be highlighted in the next few episodes.

“Baydardi de-stigmatizes the concept of Aids,” Affan shared with Instep at a meet and greet session for the play held recently. “This play has been written with great intelligence. When this project was offered to me, I really wanted do it because it tackles an important issue, which is often shoved under the carpet.”

“It has a social issue associated with it. It is not just confined to romance and saas-bahu relations, it’s beyond that,” Aiman added while talking about the project.

Playing son to Bushra Ansari, Affan essays the role of a rich and kind man while Aiman belongs to humble background and is very close to her family and loved ones. The teasers hint that the two will get married but things will fall apart between them. What leads to their separation and loss, we will have to wait and see until the next few episodes air.
