Drama serials Rehaai, JacksonHeights, Daam and Mata e Jaan Hai Tu are some of her notable works in TV. She has also directed films including Dobara Phir Se (2016) and Lala Begum that has been screened at multiple international film festivals.
Mehreen is currently shooting for her next TV project, called Dil Kiya Karey that stars the very talented Feroze Khan, who has won many hearts as Mir Hadi in the drama serial Khaani, which is currently on air.
Speaking to Instep about her upcoming project, Mehreen refrained from revealing the plot; however, she shared that the play has an all-star ensemble cast including Feroze Khan, Yumna Zaidi, Maryam Nafees and Usman Mukhtar. It also features veteran powerhouse performers such as Marina Khan, Sonia Rehman, Sarmad Khoosat, Shamim Hilaly, Abid Ali and Tanveer Jamal.
Mehreen shared that the play has been written by Asma Nabeel while it has been produced under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment.
The shooting for Dil Kiya Karey has begun in Karachi and it is expected to air sometime later this year.
