Singer-songwriter Farhan Saeed seems to be on a roll. He made headlines for all the right reasons when he composed a song for Bollywood film, Half Girlfriend and also sang the duet alongside Shreya Ghoshal.
And it looks like the award-winning singer now has another feather in his cap having donned the hat of director for the music video of ‘O Jaana’ from upcoming singer-songwriter Hamza Malik.
According to the singer’s Instagram page, Saeed is presently shooting for the video of ‘O Jaana’. Sources claim that the video has been shot in various cafes of Karachi and Port Grand giving a very urban look.
While the music video features Malik alongside actress Iqra Aziz, the song is said to feature maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, whose popularity across age-groups and borders should mean that upon release Malik’s song has an edge over others.
For the video, the director of photography (DOP) is Salman Razzaq, while Ehtehsham Ansari has done the styling.
From the BTS images of Malik and Aziz that have emerged online, we have to say that the video looks impressive.
Farhan Saeed as director is an intriguing prospect since he’s expanded his repertoire over the last couple of years and is now an actor, performer and host.
Plus, given the number of music videos Saeed has starred in as a solo artist and before that as a member of Jal means that he has enough experience in the music video genre and could bring expertise of a different kind to the table. All this should work in Hamza Malik’s favour.
