Actor and host Faysal Qureshi excels in every project he undertakes. He remains one of those rare talents who is memorable in nearly all of his small screen ventures. Bashar Momin is one key example.

After delivering some intense performances in Zakham and Waada earlier this year, the veteran actor is gearing up for his next, Khalish, that is expected to premiere on Geo TV in January 2018.

“Khalish is a revenge story; it’s a fight between a father and a son,” Qureshi told Instep without disclosing the plot too much.

However, he shared that his character, Sahil, is the key figure in the narrative since Khalish is a male-oriented project. “The story revolves around him and how he breaks an entire empire - beginning from a small house. He is also a lost lover who loses the one he loves,” the actor informed. “The character rises above his circumstances and turns into a stronger person. It’s a complete high-voltage drama.”

Qureshi also said that though it is a family drama, it is not like those typical saas-bahu sagas running on our TV screens these days. “It’s a family drama but in a different way!” he claims.

Aside from Qureshi, Khalish stars model-actor Sunita Marshall, Asif Raza Mir, Kamran Jilani and many others.
