Shaan Shahid’s upcoming musical film, Arth, a remake of sorts of the original Arth made by Mahesh Bhatt in 1982, is slated to release on December 21. With Humaima Malick, Mohib Mirza, Uzma Hassan and Shaan starring in lead roles, the film has been written and co-produced by Shaan. The first song from its soundtrack, ‘Sanwar De Khudaya’, sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and composed by Sahir Ali Bagga, released recently amidst much appreciation, not just from Pakistan but beyond. Mahesh Bhatt took to twitter and appreciated the efforts put into the song.
“The music you will hear even after it’s over,” he tweeted. “A passionate song created by passionate people.” Sahir Ali Bagga responded to his tweet saying, “Thank you so much sir.”
Earlier this year, Bhatt also poured in praise for the film’s trailer. Arth follows the story of a Pakistani musician, essayed by Shaan, who returns to Pakistan to reunite with his band mates. Mirza plays the role of a film director, Hassan essays the role of his wife while Malick will be playing herself in the film. The cast is currently busy promoting the film in Pakistan while the film is expected to release worldwide later this month.
