Zahid Ahmed is undoubtedly one of the most talented and versatile actors to have emerged in the industry and that too in a rather short span of time. With diverse roles in dramas like Alvida, Besharam, Zara Yaad Kar and the ongoing Tou Dil Ka Kia Hua and Daldal to his credit, the actor is all set to play the protagonist in Netflix’s upcoming debut Pakistani production.

Speaking to Instep about the project for which he has been approached to play the lead, Ahmed informed, “I cannot reveal much at this stage but all I can say right now is that it’s an epic action/romance saga based on an award-winning novel. It has an international cast while I will be playing the lead role.”
While we don’t know much about the production and the rest of the cast, it is good news that Netflix approaches Pakistan for original content. The upcoming project is going to be the first ever original Pakistani production to appear on Netflix Pakistan. However, this isn’t the first time when Pakistani content will be seen on Netflix as multiple local TV plays (Humsafar, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Sadqay Tumhare) as well as films including Zinda Bhaag and Na Maloom Afraad are currently available on the streaming platform. The most recent addition to the list is Jami Mehmood’s critically acclaimed, Moor that can also be watched on Netflix.
