Mawra Hocane may have taken a break from acting projects post Sammi but the actor was ruling social media with one thing or the other. After being announced as one of the three Lux girls earlier this year, Mawra appeared in two more TV commercials, leaving her fans wondering what her next acting project would be. However, the wait is finally over as the actor signs on for two new projects. While we recently reported that she has been roped in for Ehteshamuddin’s upcoming period drama Aangan alongside Ahsan Khan, the latest update is that she has finally signed up for her first Pakistani film.
Mawra is all set to make her cinematic debut in Pakistan with Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, Nadeem Beyg’s sequel to the blockbuster Jawani Phir Nahi Ani. The film has an ensemble cast including Humayun Saeed, Wasay Chaudhry, Fahad Mustafa, Syra Shahroz and Ahmed Ali Butt and with Mawra on board, it just gets more exciting.
This will be Mawra’s first film in Pakistan but the actor made her big screen debut in Bollywood with Sanam Teri Kasam for which she picked up good reviews even though the film didn’t do well in terms of numbers.
Coming back to JPNA 2, it is yet to be seen what character Mawra plays in the film and who she pairs up with. The film is scheduled for release in 2018.
