Having said goodbye to The Matrix franchise more than a decade ago, Keanu Reeves landed himself another solid franchise in the form of the John Wick films. With two films behind him, Reeves is all set to to reprise the role for a third time.

According to Deadline, a third film has been announced and it should appear on the big screen in May 2019. The decision to make one more film is based on the success of the last John Wick film that made more money than anticipated. Released in February 2017, John Wick: Chapter Two bagged a cool haul of 92 million dollars in the US alone and another 171.5 million dollars on the worldwide box office.

Reeves, however, is not the only actor returning to a franchise. Harrison Ford is leading from the front when it comes to franchise movies. He returned to the role of Han Solo in the 2015 film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and could be seen in an upcoming one as well. But that’s not all.

Ford is also back in the sequel of Blade Runner, titled Blade Runner: 2049 that is scheduled to release this October. In the film, he will reprise the role of Rick Deckard.

In an interview with GQ, while speaking about the upcoming Blade Runner sequel, Ford stated about his character: “I’m interested in preserving the question for the audience. I mean, part of the idea of whether or not he’s a Replicant is that there’s not a definitive answer.”

Ford also plans to return as Indiana Jones in an upcoming sequel that could be directed by Steven Spielberg.
