Given their newfound fame in the West, it is hardly surprising to see the two women making the list of Maxim’s Sexiest Women Alive for the year 2017. But the disparity between their ranks within the list does paint a picture. Padukone is ranked at number 10 on the list while Chopra has been placed at number 32 which means that the former managed to make a mark with her performance in xXx: The Return of the Xander Cage alongside Vin Diesel. Chopra’s debut film Baywatch alongside Dwayne Johnson did not do too well with critics or commercially. Nonetheless, Chopra has made her presence felt with her American TV series Quantico which means that she does deserve a place on this list.
The two actors are currently gearing up for their upcoming films in India. Padukone is shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavti alongside Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor while Chopra is in talks for a few Bollywood films. However, no official announcement has been made in this regard.
Coming back to the 2017 Maxim Hot 100 list, it is topped by super model Hailey Baldwin and also includes names like Emma Watson, Emma Stone, Dakota Johnson and Kendal Jenner.
