Ramazan transmissions are the latest trend. During the holy month, it feels as if TV channels are caught up in a battle for superiority as several TV shows dedicated to the auspicious month have emerged in a bid to win the ratings game.

However, amidst the many antics that often end up commercializing religion and cash in on it, there are some efforts that do offer a unique perspective. One such segment is a travelogue that will be part of A Plus’ Ramazan transmission this year.

The segment will feature 30 celebrities from 30 countries who will show how Muslims observe their rozas in those countries.

One of the actors to be seen on the show is Ali Kazmi, who recently wrapped up recording for Angelina Jolie’s upcoming animated film Breadwinner.

“You will see me soon doing a travel log from Malaysia during Ramazan in which I will show you how Muslims observe rozas there,” Kazmi told Instep. “One country and one celebrity a day and we all are hosts in our separate countries. It’s a great concept and aims to promote brotherhood and friendship between Pakistan and nations of the world and show how other people around the world observe Ramazan.”

Aside from this, Kazmi is gearing up for two TV plays including a TV biopic on Qandeel Baloch called Baaghi directed by Farooq Rind and Mohsin Talat’s Tum Meri Mohabat Ho.
