News has surfaced that TV show presenter Nadia Khan has filed a police complaint against an American actor and producer for physically assaulting her 14-year-old daughter at an audition in Dubai last week.
Khan had taken her daughter to the auditions which took place at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in JBR. The casting was held by a renowned company that represents some big names in music and television shows in the US.
Speaking to Gulf News, Khan recounted the traumatic incident: “My daughter wanted to audition for this Disney thing happening here in Dubai. She was given two lines to read. When she read her lines, this person grabbed her from the shoulders and pulled her. It happened so quickly. He said his line. Before, he also read lines but he didn’t touch anyone. He grabbed her very, very roughly. I couldn’t watch very clearly. I couldn’t understand what was happening. And then he pushed her and my daughter fell on a parent.”
“I went to the audition hoping it would be good for my child, but instead got the shock of my life.” Khan also shared that the judge in question grabbed her daughter so hard that it left bruises on her arms.
Khan further revealed that another young boy was slapped several times as well. “It doesn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl, abuse is abuse!”
