The Hocane sisters have become such a prominent feature at the coveted Lux Style Awards that it will be strange not to see one of them this year. Urwa Hocane, who has graced the LSA stage several times before with and without husband Farhan Saeed, will unfortunately miss the award ceremony this year due to prior work commitments.
We all know that Hocane has a busy year ahead of her in terms of all the films she’s doing. She’s featuring in Rangreza alongside co stars Bilal Ashraf and Gohar Rasheed, as well as a comedy flick titled Jhol which also features rockstar Ali Azmat and veteran actor Saleem Mairaj. However, it’s her third cinematic outing that will be keeping her away from the LSA this year.
Hocane will be in Cape Town, South Africa, to complete filming for the sequel of Nabeel Qureshi’s Na Maloom Afraad. The film will be seeing the return of the entire cast, including Fahad Mustafa, Javed Sheikh and Mohsin Abbas Haider. This obviously means that Mustafa won’t be attending the LSAs either. It’s a pity that the actor will be missing the award ceremony because Mustafa is likeliest to win the award for Best Actor for his flawless performance in Actor in Law. But unless they’re both flying back for the event, it’ll be a no show.
Mustafa also has a busy year ahead; he is busy with the sequels of Na Maloom Afraad, Jawani Phir Nai Aani and an untitled rom-com which will also be directed by Nabeel Qureshi.
