Shahid Shafaat’s comedy of terrors, Jhol, earlier titled Two + Two, has been in the making for two years and was expected to release last year. However it was delayed due to reasons unknown. The film’s updated date of release was recently announced along with the first look.

Starring Urwa Hocane, Ali Azmat, Saleem Mairaj, Nayyar Ejaz, Nausheen Shah and Bilal Ashraf, Jhol is all set to release on Eid-ul-Fitr this year. The first look of the film features Hocane and Azmat in a humorous way, hinting at the film’s comedic spin.

Dubbed as a ‘comedy of terrors’, Jhol tells the story of four individuals who are linked to each other in some way. Ashraf plays a doctor in the film while Hocane is said to be essaying the role of a marketing person. In an earlier interview with Instep, Ashraf informed us that this one is different from other comedies as the comic element is situational and not based on dialogue. How these four people react to their situations is what constitutes the essence of the film.

Jhol is written and directed by Shahid Shafaat and co-produced by Hamza Ansari and Hassan Azhar.
