Actor-director Shamoon Abbasi, who is known for his villainous roles, has been regularly featuring in films since the revival of Pakistani cinema began. Having played negative roles in Waar, Sawal 700 Crore Dollar Ka, and many other films, the actor is now gearing up to essay a positive character in the upcoming film Parwaaz Hai Junoon.

“I am not playing a negative character in this one [Parwaaz Hai Junoon], for a change,” Abbasi informed Instep. While Abbasi couldn’t reveal any details about his character as he is under a contract, he shared a bit of information about the film.

“The film is based on Air Force,” he noted. “We have an international crew on board including our cinematographer who is a Chinese so we’re expecting very good visuals for the film. The film is going to be very promising, cinematography-wise.”

The shooting for Parwaaz Hai Junoon has already begun, with the cast and crew currently shooting in Risalpur. Abbasi will join them in the next 3, 4 days and the shooting will go on for 3-4 months. Starring Hamza Ali Abbasi, Osman Khalid Butt and Hania Aamir, Parwaaz Hai Junoon is expected to come out towards the end of 2017 or earlier next year.
