The fact that Khan’s thick American accent was nowhere to be heard in Moor spoke volumes of his acting prowess.
He recently stole the limelight again in Dobara Phir Se with his acting chops and strong screen presence and it seems as though the actor is making intelligent decisions when it comes to choosing his roles. Therefore we can only expect quality work from him in the future.
This is why we have high hopes from his small screen debut. Khan will be playing the character of a lawyer who is fighting for a young girl who has just been raped. This reminds us of the Amitabh Bachchan blockbuster Pink (as well as Farhan Saeed in Udaari) but we are glad that such a topic is being discussed on Pakistani television as well. While the actor chose to not divulge further details of the project, he spoke to Instep about the TV industry. “I think the Pakistani TV industry is really picking up right now and there is some solid work coming through.” No official date for the TV serial has been announced yet but we can expect this project to come to our screens very soon.
