One of the most anticipated films of the year, Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, also stars Pakistani heartthrobs Fawad Khan and Imran Abbas alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. While Khan is essaying the role of a DJ in the film, rumour had it that Abbas was playing Sharma’s brother. However, the actor denies any such rumour and is livid that the media here picked up on misinformation published in the Indian press. He took to Facebook and expressed his anger over the publication that reported the news without verifying it with him.

“Pinkvilla speculated something and people here in Pakistan just copied and pasted it without using their brain. No, I’m not playing Anushka Sharma’s brother for God’s sake,” he said in his post along with the link to the news.

Instep called the actor for further details on his role and he reasserted that he’s not playing Sharma’s brother in the film. “Brother???? Not at all,” he exclaimed. He added that he was under contract and therefore unable to reveal more about his character except for the fact that he’ll be seen in a special appearance opposite Sharma. “It’s a light and funny character,” he maintained.

Abbas, who shot for a few scenes with Kapoor, Sharma and Lisa Haydon in London, is in Mumbai to shoot a song while he is left with a scene to be shot in the next spell.

Dubbed as a love story, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is all set to release on October 28, this year.
