Speaking of superheroes, Ben Affleck, who made his debut as Batman/Bruce Wayne in Zack Snyder’s universally panned film, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, is humiliated by the spectacular critical failure of the film.

According to a report doing rounds across the interwebs, Affleck will have more control over the upcoming Justice League films (that hope to imitate Marvel’s Avenger series) after the Batman debacle.

One news site editor Devin Faraci was reportedly caught saying: “My sources have told me that Affleck was incredibly unhappy about the reception of BvS. He felt humiliated after spending so much of the press tour saying how much better this film would be than Daredevil.”

The report further noted that Affleck will “work with Chris Terrio, his screenwriter from Argo and Batman v Superman, to fine-tune the script, and he will also inform the postproduction process.”

Speculation also suggests that Zack Snyder, who was initially tied to the Justice League films, may get replaced as director while Affleck retains control.

The one question mark is over the involvement of Chris Nolan, who was instrumental to the rebirth and success of Batman trilogy starring Christian Bale, and whether he will continue to play a role in the DC cinematic universe.
