Pakistani rock star Ali Zafar, who recently participated in the second edition of Lahore Music Meet, is geared up for his next Bollywood project - a Gauri Shinde film that also features superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt. Zafar will be seen romancing Bhatt in the untitled romantic drama.
While it was confirmed earlier that Zafar and Kunal Kapoor will be seen opposite Alia, word has it that Aditya Roy Kapur and Angad Bedi will also feature in the film and the four actors will also come together for an important sequence in the film.
According to Pinkvilla, “In her (Alia) quest for muses she ends up dating different men whose perspectives on life eventually reflect in the film.”
Zafar will be essaying the role of a musician in the film, who is “as passionate about music as he is about love” whereas Aditya Roy Kapur will play the role of a furniture dealer, Kunal Kapoor will play a film producer and Bedi a restaurateur. As for Shah Rukh Khan’s role in the film, it is said, “SRK has a significant role which is integral to the narrative. He offers her a completely different take on life and becomes her inspiration. She spends time with each of these men and takes back home something from all of them.”
Co-produced by Karan Johar, the film will be shot in Goa mostly as well as Mumbai. Zafar’s previous Bollywood projects include Tere Bin Laden, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, London Paris New York, Total Siyapaa and Kill Dil.
