The Times of India Film Awards will be taking place in Dubai this weekend and the event kicks off tonight with the Gulf Air Gold Carpet hosted by the very dynamic Manish Paul and Huma Qureshi. Pakistan’s ace couturier Faraz Manan has been chosen to showcase his collection at the event. Rumour has it that Kareena Kapoor, who has often donned Faraz’s creations, may walk the ramp as his muse as she is going to be in Dubai for her performance at the TOIFA to promote her upcoming film Ki & Ka.
Since the time he has opened his second boutique in Dubai, Faraz Manan’s clientele, which includes Indians, Turks and Lebanese, has grown by manifolds. Of late, Faraz’s classy creations have found a spot in the hearts of many Bollywood celebrities and the glitz-loving Dubai fashionistas. He looks all set to take on the world stage in the footsteps of, say, Elie Saab or Zuhair Murad, also from this part of the world.
Coming back to TOIFA, the award ceremony is due to take place tomorrow, with appearances from Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, and hosts Riteish Deshmukh and Parineeti Chopra. Actors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Jaqueline Fernandez will also be presenting power-packed performances for their fans in Dubai.
