The episode featuring Ashraf revolves around the wedding of lead characters Iqra (Zarnish Khan) and Shehryar (Emmad Irfani) as they tie the knot. Upon reaching home, it is revealed that Shehryar is involved with another woman who calls him as soon as he brings his new bride home and shares her gloomy disdain for the couple. The other woman in this scenario is Ashraf who weeps and weeps while her married beau tries to calm her down.
And if you’re wondering about the rest of the play, it’s the story of a resilient girl who ventures out of her home to earn a living as a means of supporting her ill and retired father. Under pressure to marry her cousin Ayaz (played by Ali Kazmi), she decides to marry her colleague Shehryar instead.
Okay, so it isn’t the most unique or exciting plot but we’ll take it… for now if only to see how Ashraf fares as an actor.
