KARACHI: Sindh Rangers arrested Lyari gang-war ringleader Uzair Baloch from the outskirts of Karachi.
Rangers spokesman announced the arrest of Uzair Baloch on Saturday morning, saying that the gang-war leader was nabbed while entering in the port city.
Uzair Baloch had escaped from the country after launch of Karachi operation against target killers and criminal elements in 2013.
Pakistani government had issued red warrants for Baloch after he escaped abroad.
Murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and extortion and other heinous crime cases are registered against Uzair in different police stations of Karachi.
Baloch was arrested a day after Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday telephoned Director General (DG) Sindh Rangers, Major General Bilal Akbar and exchanged views on ongoing Karachi operation.
The interior minister consulted DG Rangers on making Karachi operation more effective.
