ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar on Thursday announced that prices of petrol and High Octane Blending Component (HOBC) will remain the same for the month of January 2016. The new prices will become effective past midnight.
In a media statement, Ishaq Dar said the price of petrol is being kept unchanged at Rs78.26 per litre.
He further announced that the rate of kerosene oil has been slashed by Rs8.07 per litre and High speed diesel by Rs3 a litre.
The Finance Minister said the deadline for filing tax returns has been extended by one month.
He said the government will present a scheme for filers and non-filers before the National Assembly.
