As things heat up between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the former seems to be getting closer to Jennifer Aniston.
If reports are to be believed, in the midst of the bitter divorce war with his second wife, the Fight Club star is seeking solace in the Friends actor, whom he was married to from 2000 to 2005.
According to Mirror Online, a source spilled to Closer about the former couple rekindling friendship after earlier going through some hurdles when they first got divorced in 2005.
"Brad wasn't sure he'd hear from Jen, so he was really touched when she called. She knows him better than most,” said the insider.
It was further revealed that Jennifer had recommended mindful techniques to her ex-husband to get through this difficult period.
"Jen swears by Pilates, yoga and daily mediation to stave off anxiety and stress, as well as taking extended technology breaks," said the grapevine.
It was also disclosed that the ‘self-care’ sessions are helping Brad move past this debacle. "The kindness and love Jen's shown him over the last few months has further cemented his love and adoration of her,” said the source.
Other sources were also cited by Mirror Online, claiming the two are “closer than ever” and Brad being “touched” when Jen reached out to him once again.
"She knows him better than most and knows how stressed and upset he’d have been by the bombshell. They’ve been spending time together amid Jen’s effort to help lift his spirits and be a source of comfort when he’s admittedly feeling defeated and hopeless about Ange’s shock move,” said the source.
"They have an unbreakable bond of friendship and Jen will always be there for him. It doesn’t take much for them to be closer than ever again and they were stoked to be working together,” they added.
