PM Imran orders to form Judicial Commission on Sahiwal incident
The CTD had claimed to have killed four terrorists in Sahiwal near the toll plaza which later turned to be a fake encounter.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered formation of Judicial Commission on Sahiwal incident, the gruesome killing of four persons at the hands of Counter Terrorism Department of Punjab Police.
The CTD had claimed to have killed four terrorists in Sahiwal near the toll plaza which later turned to be a fake encounter.
PM Imran Khan, while accepting the long demand of the family of the victims after three months of the incident, ordered to form the judicial commission to probe into the killing.
Earlier, the family of the Sahiwal victims called on PM Imran Khan on Wednesday, where the premier gave compensatory cheques to them.
Expressed solidarity with the family members, Imran Khan said, “The government shares the grief of the family equally.”
Four people were killed and three children were injured when CTD officials of the Punjab Police opened fire on a car on Grand Trunk Road near Sahiwal on January 19 this year.
