Adviser of Sindh Chief Minister of law and information, Syed Murtaza Wahab condemned on Sunday Prime Minister Imran Khan’s the decision of removing late Benazir Bhutto’s name from Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
The Pakistan People’s Party leader confronting the premier’s decision expressed his disgruntle and stated that to change the name of the support programme, a change in law is also needed.
“Someone shd explain 2 PM that there is a thing called Law & when law says Benazir Income Support Programme it cant b changed unless law is changed. Kaptaan ur the PM not the King plz try 2 understand law before making commitments. Remember u spoke of Rule of Law once upon a time [sic],” he stated on Twitter.
Earlier, the change of name was decided by PM Imran upon the demand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ally, Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) leader Makhdoom Mohsin, at a meeting in Ghotki on Sunday.
