Indian soldier commits suicide in Occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR: An officer of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) committed suicide in Baramulla district in Occupied Kashmir on Saturday, according to Kashmir Media Service (KMS)
A sub-Inspector of ITBP, Chandar Mani, ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle at a camp in Kunzar area of the district, the KMS reported.
This incident raised the number of such deaths amongst the Indian troops and police personnel to 423 in occupied Kashmir since January 2007.
Search operation
Indian forces launched cordon and search operations in Islamabad and Shopian districts on early Saturday.
The Indian troops cordoned off Ganai Mohalla in Turkwangam area of Shopian and started a door-to-door search operation.
